The Newport Collection was designed to attract high net worth buyers to an exclusive event, providing them an entirely new way of viewing luxury products such as yachts, automobiles, fashion, wine, art, jewelry and private aircraft, while providing exhibitors the opportunity to market their luxury goods to an exclusive clientele in the unique and intimate setting that is Newport.
The basic design parameters included:
–To appeal to potential exhibitors, create an prospectus including a brief on the concept, demographic information, samples of advertisements highlighting various luxury items (i.e. yachts, cars, motorcycles, etc) and an illustrated site plan.
–To appeal to attendees, create advertisements, email blasts, posters, and a central website to provide a portal with information on everything from site plans, ticket information, directions, contact information, exhibitor lists, hotel options and local restaurants.
–A fashion shoot featuring a classic yacht in a Newport setting was organized with photographer Billy Black at the helm. Other photography featuring luxury items with a Newport backdrop were carefully planned to maximize visual impact, while keeping within a budget. Photographs provided by exhibitors and stock photography, selected to fit the overall feel of the event, were used to fill out the image library required for the promotion.
–A series of advertisements and posters were created to highlight the variety of luxury products represented by the Newport Collection. The designs were clean and elegant, letting the products speak for themselves.
It was also important that digital marketing material, from email campaigns to the event website, have the simple elegance shared across all promotional materials without looking overly templated or canned. To this end we were able to create an electronic presence that was stylish, unique, and accessible to users.
